Why Twitter and TweetChat? // What inspired the chat?
Funny enough when Twitter first launched I refused to create a profile because I was severely cyber bullied. After I realized that boycotting Twitter was letting the bullies win, I mustered the courage to create an account. After I signed up, I soon recognized how beneficial it was for networking and booking guests on my radio talk show, The Chelsea Krost Show, and Twitter became an essential tool within my platform. Twitter has allowed me to connect with incredible people, experts, producers, news outlets, and brands that have been extremely beneficial and special in my personal life and career. TweetChat has opened up even more doors for connecting, collaborating, and expanding The Chelsea Krost platform. During our hour long live radio show, on Wednesday nights at 9pm EST, we encourage people to interact with the featured guests, each other, and myself through out the hour. As the interaction grew and grew I decided to make a weekly Twitter Party that really acts as an extension to the radio show. Each Twitter Party where I have used TweetChat has been an incredible success. TweetChat allows me to keep up with the rapid fire interaction that happens throughout the hour.
What is your chat about?
The #MillennialTalk Chat ranges in topics that cater towards the Millennial Generation. We will talk about everything from how to use social media to build your personal brand, to cyber security, essential apps for 2014, how to create realistic short term vs long term goals, to finances. You name it we talk about it on The Chelsea Krost Platform.
How can Tweet chats help your community?
I think TweetChats are essential for building your social media presence. Social Media is an incredibly important tool to use for promoting your brand, networking, and engaging your target market. A Twitter Chat is the perfect way to attract a large group of people to interact about a particular topic and spread awareness on whatever message it may be. Hosting a Twitter Party also allows you to scale what topics, ideas, and concepts are sparking interest amongst your followers. The key to building a large social media following is engaging in your followers and promoting collaborations. TweetChat is the perfect vehicle to get this done.
